Obituary for Joaquim Carnide
Carnide, Joaquim Ferreira:
Passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Maria for 49 years. Loving father of Lucilia, Delia (Kristian Shoemaker), and Nancy (Robert Linden). Proud Avô to Katie and Oliver. Much loved brother of Mavildia (the late Manuel), Manuel (Esmeralda), the late Maria José (the late Laurindo), the late José (Odete), and the late Emilia (the late Joaquim). Cherished brother-in-law of Mavildia (Luis). He will be fondly remembered by all of his nieces and nephews.
Joaquim’s family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Friday, October 13th, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers Friday 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A private mass of Christian burial will be held, followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Toronto Western Hospital -The Morton and Gloria Shulman Movement Disorder Centre (more details to follow) would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
