Jean Marc Valcourt
1957-2017
It is with deep sadness that the family
of Jean “Marc” Valcourt, 60, of South Tetagouche, announce
his passing, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst
on Friday, December 22, 2017, after a courageous fight with
cancer.
Born in Sudbury, ON, he was the son of
Corinne (Bernard) Valcourt and the late Clement R.
Valcourt.
He enlisted in the army at a young age
and was awarded “Most Improved Recruit”. He
continued as military police and later worked in security in the
private sector. Much of his adult life was spent employed in
the mining industry in various locations in Canada and around the
world.
Marc was a loving father and very much a
family man. He enjoyed cooking and tinkering with
vehicles. He had a “joie de vivre” which he
generously shared with his loved ones and
family.
Besides his mother Corinne of South
Tetagouche, he will be sadly missed by his children, Tara, Roger and
Natacha.
Marc is also survived by his loving
siblings: Anita Levesque
(Leo), Jeannine Smith (Roland),
Dolores Lavigne (Alphonse),
Pierre Valcourt (Dolores Pitre),
Louise Valcourt (Kevin
Tremblay) Cheryl Roy
(Levi), Michel Valcourt (Christie Whynot),
Six grandchildren, as well as many
nieces, nephews and a brother in law Clayton
Ward.
He was predeceased by his sister Carol
Ward.
There will be no visitation at the
funeral home.

celebrated on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Elhatton
Funeral Home Chapel. Donations in memory of Jean Marc may be
made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the
donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton
