Janos Lengyel was born in Budapest, Hungary on September 22, 1935 and moved to Canada in 1957.
Jan is survived his loving wife Irene Patricia Brown, his five sons; Shawn, Dion, Brennan, Aaron, Tameron, three daughters; Susan, Carmen, and Shannon, three step-children; Glenis, Howard and Ed, 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and his sister Veronica.
Before Jan moved to Canada, he was fluent in 7 languages and won championships as a professional boxer. Jan was also an incredible artist and used his drawing techniques to tattoo. He performed numerous tattoos on himself so he could perfect the art and method on other people to generate an income. He was a carpenter & welder and loved working with his hands and. His morals, values, hard work ethic, boxing and artistic techniques have all been genetically passed down to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jan has resided in Stettler, AB for the last 37 years until his health deteriorated. He passed away in his sleep peacefully in the morning of December 11, 2016 in Lacombe.
