James Jim Fleming

James Jim Fleming

James “Jim” Fleming
1942-2017
Jim passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University
Hospital Centre on the evening of Tuesday June
13th. He was a longtime resident of Riverview and
enjoyed living here with his loving wife, Lorraine
“Lori” Joudrey, daughter, Genevieve, and son, Ian,
all of whom he adored.
Jim was a senior corrosion technologist and coatings
consultant, also working in the field on highway bridges and municipal
water tanks. His clients appreciated Jim’s vast knowledge
and keen work ethic.
Jim’s many passions included golf, motorcycle
touring, photography day trips with Genevieve, gardening, and a love
of the land and nature which he shared with the whole
family.
He delighted in making furniture for the family home, and in
having friends over to his woodworking shop on Monday nights. He was
also an early-morning regular for coffee with buddies at
Tim’s! His friends were important to him, especially Rod,
Harvey, Harold, Brian, and Lowell who gave true friendship and support
to Jim during his lengthy illness.
Jim will be greatly and lovingly missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview (869-2007). A Mass celebration will take place at Immaculate
Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:30am with
Father Phil Mulligan officiating. A reception will follow in the
church hall. Donations made to the Greater Moncton SPCA, The Friends
of The Moncton Hospital, or CHU Dumont Foundation would be greatly
appreciated. Condolences may be expressed to the family at
