Obituary
John Keith Hannan died suddenly on July 30, 2017 at the age of 94 years in Edmonton. He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 15 years, Cecile Jones (nee Gauvin); three children, Jane Warren, Kevin (Morag) Hannan, Brendan Hannan; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Alicia) Hannan, Michael (Tammy) Hannan, Sean Hannan (Jackie Reyes); three great-grandchildren, Sidney, Harlow, and Jack.
Also to mourn his loss is Susan (Brian) Jones, Sheila (Don) Smith and their son Graham, Frances (Michael) Jones, Powell (Vanessa) Jones, sister-in-law, Nell Hannan; Paul (Toni) Merchant and their children, Caitlin and Carter; Nicole (Shane) Delory and their children Lachlan and Peyton, and Danielle (Chris) Ziolkowski and their child Teagan.
He will be dearly missed by many nephews, nieces and their families of both Canada and Australia; extended family and friends.
Keith is predeceased by his first wife of 56 years, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Silzer); brother, Brendan Hannan; and son-in-law, William Warren.
Keith retired in 1981 from Imperial Oil and spent his retirement years volunteering at the Marian Centre, playing golf at the Edmonton Golf and Country Club, traveling the world with Cec, and enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Keith was the patriarch of our family….his wisdom, his quiet humor and his love of family will be cherished memories for us all. We will miss him very much and he will live on in our hearts.
