Irene MacKenzie
1922-2016
Peacefully at the
Provincial Palliative Care Centre of Irene MacKenzie of Marie on
Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in her 94th
year.
Born in Pointe aux Trembles, Montreal, she was the
daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Vibert) Cassidy. Irene was the
last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her
son, Wesley MacKenzie (Dianne) of Marie, and her daughters Ellen
Richards, Mellis, Mass and Joyce MacKenzie (Clive Cudmore) of North
River. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Donna
Welsh (Chris), Amanda MacDonald (Wade Dover), Allan MacDonald
(Brooke), Charmaine MacKenzie (Darryl Murphy), Jeremy Lewis, Lenette
MacDougall (Billy), Kyle MacKenzie (Shylah Sheehan), Melissa MacKenzie
and her mother Ann MacKenzie, her seven great grandchildren, Jacob and
Alexis MacDougall, Dalaney and Hudson Welsh, Darrah MacLeod and Dava
Dover, and Zavery MacDonald, as well as many nieces and nephews. She
was predeceased by her husband Leonard MacKenzie and her beloved son
Irwin MacKenzie as well as her sister Ruth Wood (Herbert), brothers
Irwin (Violet), Wilson (Hazel), Ashton (Babe) and her sister of the
heart, Thelma Haydock (Bill).
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown
Funeral Home. Completed funeral arrangements will be announced
