EMMOTT, Helen Elizabeth (nee Sibbick)
Passed away on Sunday, December 11th, 2016, at the Brantford General Hospital, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Warne Emmott (1997). Matriarch of the Emmott family and loving mother of Harry (Nancy) Emmott, Bill (Jean) Emmott, Nancy (Ken) Dougherty. Proud grandmother of Peggy Young, Sandi (Mark) Brock, Lisa (Karl) Morton, Andrew (Eleanor) Emmott, Philip (Pam) Emmott, Wesley (kathleen) Emmott, Colin (Cari) Dougherty, Michelle Dougherty. Dear great-grandmother of 15. Survived by her brother Roy (Margaret) Sibbick, sisters-in-law Barb (the late Charles) Sibbick, Leila (the late Ross) Sibbick. Helen was very active in her community, including the boards of Newport Centre, Sheridan Place, Burtch Baptist Church, Oxford-Brant Mission Church, Adelaide-Hunter Hoodless Homestead and the Federated Women’s Institutes of Ontario. The family is grateful to the staff at Telfer Place for their kindness over the past 10 years. Friends will be received at the BECEKTT – GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue, on Wednesday, December 14th, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Donations to the Burtch Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.
