Obituary Overview
Heather Leigh MacNeill
With saddened hearts, we mourn the passing of Heather Leigh MacNeill, age 46, on December 23, 2017. Born on September 8th, 1971, she was our beloved daughter, sister and Aunt. God called Heather to his heavenly home, where she will be at peace. She graduated from the I.W. Akerley Campus and pursued a career in accounting. Working in a variety of national and international firms which took her from Calgary to Toronto and Halifax. Heather was a forcefully loyal friend and possessed a strong spirit. Her passion in life was the love for her family, especially her nephew and godson Robbie. Heather is survived by her parents, Bob and Therese (Cody) MacNeill; brother Rob ( Michelle) ; and nephew Robbie. Heather was the oldest of 24 grandchildren so she has many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her dearly. Heather was predeceased by grandparents Kevin and Mary Cody, Robert and Francis MacNeill as well as Aunt Mary and Uncle Frank Cody and Grand Aunt Rita Barron. Heather’s larger than life personality will always hold a special place in our hearts. She will be forever missed and loved.
Cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held on Tuesday January 2nd, 2017 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth from 7-9 Pm. The Funeral service will take place on January 3rd, 2017 at 11 am at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 15 Caledonia Road, Dartmouth. Internment to take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery following a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation N.S. or to a Charity of your choice.
