Grace Elliott Taylor – 2016

Grace Elliott Taylor, 86 of Kentville, Kings Co. passed away in the Valley Regional Hospital on December 11, 2016. Born on November 4, 1930 in Hortonville, she was the daughter of the late David and Myrtle (Nolter) Higgins.
Grace was well known for her love of cross stitch and knitting as well as her love of cooking.
Mom and dad started out married life in Halifax and through the years lived in Summerside, PEI; Moncton, NB and Phoenix, AZ. Even though she enjoyed their travels, she always pined for her beloved friends and family in Nova Scotia. She was very happy to retire in the Valley.
Grace is survived by sons Paul (Mary) Taylor of Elizabethton, TN; Michael (Barb) Taylor of Phoenix, AZ; daughter Diane (Wayne) Green of Campbell River, BC; sisters Hilda Burton of Kentville; Jean Magee of Halifax; brother George (Sharon) Higgins of Lower Sackville; her beloved grandchildren Cindy; Brett; Lauren; Michael, Jr. and Tonya; great grandchildren Jameson, Nathan and Brendon; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2010 and some four brothers and five sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, Wolfville Chapel, 568 Main Street Wolfville (902-542-4656). No by family request. A Memorial Service will be held on December 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Wolfville Chapel with Pastor Eva VanBuskirk officiating. Interment to take place in the Lower Horton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lower Horton Cemetery, PO Box 111, Grand Pré, B0P 1M0.
