COLLINS NEVEU, Gilberte Agnès “Betty”
(née Renaud) 1922 – 2017
Peacefully in Ottawa, on Saturday, April 15, 2017, just shy of her 95th birthday. Daughter of the late Alaric Renaud and Aurore Paquette. Predeceased by husbands John William Collins, Laurent Neveu, and Jean-Yves Daoust. Left to mourn are daughters Louise Tassé (Germain), Suzanne Simpson (Robert), Denise Collins (Catherine Henderson), Joanne Saumure (Pierre), Christine Collins (Pierre Bergeron), and Kathleen Collins (Rick Goodings). Gilberte also leaves ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, her brother Jacques Renaud (Thérèse Coutu), sister-in-law Jacqueline Bergeron Renaud (the late Bernard) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her sisters Aurette (Yves Vézina), Gabrielle (Marcel Champagne), Suzanne (René Joanisse), Monique, infant sister Claire, and her brothers Roland, Marcel (Anita Mercier), Jules (Fernande Séguin), Bernard, Maurice (Shirley Peterson, Yvette Lafrance) and André.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 12 noon on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the St- Joseph d’Orléans Church, 2757 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans, followed by a funeral mass in the presence of the ashes at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow at Royal Garden, 2802 St. Joseph Boulevard, Orleans.
The family extends its warmest gratitude to the staff of Royal Garden and the Montfort Hospital for their kindness and exceptional care.
