Obituary for Geraldine Taylor-Woelfert
Taylor – Woelfert, Geraldine (Gerry) – Peacefully on April 13, 2017 at the Queensway Carleton Hospital at the age of 80. Dear mother of Cynthia Lynn (Stephen), Paul Robert (Kathleen) and Brian Kenneth (Michelle). Cherished Grandmother of Timothy Joseph & Andrew Kenneth Osborne and Andrew Harrison. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth Taylor (1992), husband Edward Woelfert (2000), her sister Joan Arbuckle (2015) and her parents Paul & Harriet Vezina.
Gerry enjoyed a career at Algonquin College and was a graduate of floral design. Her passion was knitting and painting. Gerry took great pride in her family and the success of her children and grandchildren. Many wonderful years were spent camping and she was an active member of the Unitarian Church of Ottawa.
Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 150 Woodroffe Ave at Richmond Rd. on Friday, April 21, from 7 to 9 pm. and Saturday, April 22, from 9:00am until time of the Service in the Chapel at 11:00am. Donations in memory of Gerry to Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
