Gerald Ladd – 2017

Peacefully, at the London Health Science Centre – Victoria Campus, on Monday, February 13, 2017, Gerald Cecil Ladd, age 89, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Jean (Hanson)(1996). Born in Chatham Township, son of the late Yvonne and Charles Ladd.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Gwen Brooks, Karen Swain, Glynda Ladd all of Chatham, Sherry Brown of Leamington, Sonya Ladd, and Robert (Kim) Ladd both of Chatham, his grandchildren, Michelle (Matt) Waddick, Kristin (John) Buis, Erin (Clara) Hiltz, Joelle Brown-Detailleur, Nathan Brown, Andrew Brown, Jordan Brown and Austin Detailleur, and 5 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister Elda Thompson of Tupperville, his brothers Lloyd (Loretta) Ladd of Chatham Township and Harvey (Jill) Ladd of Chatham, his brother-in-law Bernard Simmons, many nieces and nephews and long time companion of Wanda Gibson.
Predeceased by his sisters Verna Simmons, his brothers Alvin, Morley, and Stanley Ladd.
Gerald worked for many years at Trans Canada Freezers. Friends and relatives may visit at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) from 7 – 9 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2017.
A Masonic service (St. John’s Lodge #9, Prince Hall, Chatham) will be held at 7pm.
A Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:30 PM with Rev. David Tatsu officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
