Georgina Jensen was born on the family farm near Sedley, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 21, 2017 in New Denver, BC.
She is predeceased by her husband Henry Jensen as well as many of her brothers and sisters.
Georgina is survived by her children; Lynn, Ron, Patrick and Vera-Ellen (Tony), her grandchildren; Robert (Dan), Scott (Tanya) and Amy (Jason), great grandchildren; Ella, Lily and Donna Marie as well as her sister, Bernice (Mervin).
Family was the most important thing in Georgina’s life- but shopping sure came a close 2nd! She also loved looking after her home and her yard. She could always be tempted to travel- getting out on the open road to go camping or any other adventure. She was game!
Her last few years were lived in Halcyon Home and then the Slocan Health Centre. Wherever she was she was the life of the party and very well loved.
A private family service will be held in the near future. Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Halcyon Home, New Denver Pavillion and Arrow Lakes Hospital. You are all spectacular!!
