Obituary Overview
Garry’s Spirit Forever Lives
Garry will be especially remembered for creating Ploughboy at UofC where he was blessed with many friendships; his spiritual ministry of writing reflective essays and prose-poetry; his extensive research library; and enjoying his album collection of Traditional Jazz.
Garry is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, his children Drusilla (Tony) Wagner, Russell (Sandra), and their mother Doreen Kilbourn, daughter-in-law Elfriede, brother Don (Connie), Barbara Kilbourn, grandchildren Owen, Abby, Denise (George) Henegar, Andy, Francesca, beloved friends Betty and George McLeod, Tommy Craighead, Ernie Jackson, Suzanne Lachapelle, Ivy George and many more along the way. Garry was predeceased by his son Kenneth, grandson Torsten and brother Walter.
With no beginning and no end, there is a season. Garry’s spirit forever lives. He knew his Creator, Calling and Purpose, manifesting God’s love and goodness. Garry knew at season’s end he’d return from whence he came into the Light, now Home. It is with grateful hearts for the seasons we shared his selfless love.
If you so desire, in lieu of flowers, may we take to heart Garry’s vision, “walking in the Way where All do good to All.” Information to follow regarding a Remembrance gathering. Heartfelt gratitude to EMS; Foothills Emergency; Peter Lougheed Emergency, Social Worker and Spiritual Care Teams.
