LINACY – Garrett Adrian Smith, 63, Linacy, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Tom and Gladys (Blakemore) Smith. After his retirement as a welder from the former Trenton Works, he was able to continue his passion as a carpenter.
Surviving are children, Darren Smith, New Glasgow; Lisa Smith, New Glasgow; Marlena Beck, Dartmouth; Emma Beck, Pictou; companion, Trish MacPhee, Stellarton; Brittany MacPhee, Lochaber; Christopher MacPhee, Pictou; Mitchell MacPhee, Stellarton; Eddie MacPhee Jr., Westville; seven grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Smith, New Glasgow; Juanita King; Long Point; Debbie O’ Callaghan, Ontario; brother, Leonard, Linacy; former wife and friend, Judy Carver, New Glasgow.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Ricky.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 pm Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in P& K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
