England, Alfreda, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Sunday December 17, 2017. Freda England (nee Doucet) of Southampton in her 84th year. Wife of the Late Ray England. Dear mother of Lorraine (Michael), Irene (Kerry), Jan, Shelley (Eldon) and Lori. Proud grandmother of Michael (Rachel), Mandy (Nathan), Daniel (Jamielynn), Michael (Lisa), Christopher (Tegan), Stephen, Nicholas, Stacey and Kenady and of her great grandchildren Lyla, Bennett, Elwynn, Rowyn, Michael, Madeleine, Theodore, Paisley, Jayla and Leesy. Also survived by her sisters Evelyn (Bay) and Blondine. Freda will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Lu Ann, by her parents Arthur and Gertrude Doucet and by 12 siblings. Freda was first and foremost a loving mother and grandmother. She loved family gatherings where everyone would come together. Freda was an avid gardener and her gardens were second to none. She loved music and loved to dance. Freda played guitar and keyboards and delighted family when she belted out a yodeling song or started to clog or belly dance! Later in life, Freda became an avid golfer with her husband Ray, She loved her home in Florida and they loved to travel. Freda was fiercely independent and was proud to be able to stay in her own home surrounded by her beautiful gardens until her passing. Freda was kind, loving and warm and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. At Freda’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation. Private family services entrusted to the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton.
