1934-2016
It is with sadness that the family of Francine Claire
O’Donnell, 82, of Norton, NB, announces her death which
occurred at Berwick Place Senior’s Care Home surrounded by
her loving family, on December 9, 2016. Born in Goshen, NB, on March
21, 1934, she was the wife of the late Harold O’Donnell and
a daughter of the late Leo and Johanna (Hourihan)
Purtill.
Francine is survived by her daughters: Mary (Laurie) Sanford
of Bloomfield, NB, Colleen (John) Fair of Millstream, NB, and Cathy
(Stephen) Hicks of Quispamsis, NB; sons: Philip (Pam)
O’Donnell of Nashville, TN, Robert (Noella)
O’Donnell of LaBelle, FL, James (Kathy) O’Donnell
of Rocanville, SK, Patrick (Beth) O’Donnell of Norton, NB,
and Andrew (Tanya) O’Donnell of Norton, NB; twenty five
grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister Nellie Dyker; as well
as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents,
Francine was predeceased by her sisters: Mary Sullivan, Evelyn
Stevens, Jean Murphy and Merlie Keirstead; and brother Carson
Purtill.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road,
Norton, NB, where visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm,
on Monday, December 12, 2016. Mass of Christian burial, celebrated by
Father Dan Bastarache will be held from Sacred Heart Church, Norton at
11:00 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. A private family interment
will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Francine may be made to the Sacred
Heart Ladies Society, Sussex Extra Mural, Sussex Health Centre IV
Clinic, Stan Cassidy Centre or to the memorial of the
donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and
