Reid, Florence “Darlene” – Age 69 of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2017, in Dartmouth General Hospital, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Dean Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Clinton and Mary (Dean) Dunlap.
Darlene was a loving wife and mother, and lived in Musquodoboit most of her life. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and loved fishing, baking, crocheting, yard sales and Christmas. She was a kind woman, sharp-witted, and had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humour. Darlene loved her family and friends dearly and always looked forward to company.
Surviving are her husband, Gary, Dartmouth; daughters, Kimberly (Dutch), Tracy, both of Halifax; sisters, Irene, Brookfield; Priscilla, Debert; grandchildren, Cinnamon, Cherokee and Kylee. She was predeceased by brothers, Russell, Seymour and Joey; sisters, Ermanie, Velma and Sarah.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A graveside service will be held in the spring in Dean Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Red Cross.
From the bottom of our hearts, we, the family, would like to thank the 3rd floor staff of Dartmouth General; the VON and Northwood Homecare for their loving care to our mother in her last days; and also to the staff of Veterans Memorial and Musquodoboit Valley Hospital for their service and care.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Florence “Darlene Reid November 18 2017.source
