At his residence, on August 22, 2017, Ewart Chester Caughy of Magnetawan formerly of Markdale at the age of 75.
Beloved husband of the late Caroline Caughy (nee McCrea). Dear father of Kimberley McInnis (Cory Hutter) of Barrie, Timothy Caughy (Victoria) of Hanover, Cindy Ashcroft (Brian) of Hepworth and Eric Caughy (Mona) of Priceville. Grandfather of Matthew and Vanessa McInnis; Jordan and Ryan Caughy; Ashley Hamilton, Kayla, Allyson, Connor and Bailey Ashcroft; Peter, Kyle and Melissa Ross. Great-grandfather of Elias, Ayla and Rosalie. Also survived by siblings Marie, Jim, Shirley, Don and Linda. Predeceased by parents James and Mary Caughy, and brothers Bruce, Cam, Fred and Bill.
Cremation followed by interment in Markdale Cemetery.
A Celebration of Ewart’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 271 Bruce Street, Durham, on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
