EVA AVEY (1919 – 2016)
Peacefully, at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland on Saturday, December 24, 2016, Eva (Neamtz) Avey, formerly of Glen Meyer, passed away at the age of 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Allen Avey. Loving and caring mother of her daughter Louise Bruckler and her husband Joe of Tillsonburg and her son John Avey and his wife Pat of London. Proud grandmother of Greg Bruckler and his wife Kim of Tillsonburg Gary Bruckler and his wife Deb of London, Kim Avey-Carson of Brownsville, Rob Avey of Port Dover, Renee Bubel-Jahns and her husband Brian of Oakville and Marc Bubel and his wife Zoe of Southampton. Cherished great-grandmother of Jordan (Kerilyn), Ryan Bruckler. Sam, Charlotte Bruckler, Justin Best, Trevor, Adam Carson, Lauren, Alec Jahns, Sasha, Brodie, Juliet Bubel. Dear sister-in-law of Grace Neamtz of Welland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 8 brothers Dan, Ralph, George, Harold, John, Henry, Bill, Tony and 1 sister Anna Spigle. Friends and relatives will be received at St John’s Anglican Church, Tillsonburg on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 12 noon – 1:30 p.m. The Memorial Service for Eva will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Vermell Stevens officiating. Private inurnment in the spring at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. John’s Anglican Church, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the Avey family and may be arranged by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
