Emma Wortman
1932-2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the
passing of Emma Elaine Wortman, 85, of Memramcook following a brief
illness at the Dr. Georges L Dumont Hospital.
Born on February 5,1932 in Dover, she was the
youngest daughter of the late Kate and Roy Steeves. Emma was retired
from Roberterson’s Greenhouse and a member of the Women’s Institute
for many years, and the Dover Baptist Church where she often played
the organ and/or piano. She loved to garden and always enjoyed a crowd
in her home that she proudly cooked for anytime they showed
up!
She will be sadly missed by nieces Marilyn Peake,
Beverly Steeves, Patty Johnston, sister-in-law Alice Wheaton as well
as her special friend Dan Coneen and many others! Emma was
predeceased by her husband Arnold, son Frederick and siblings
Marguerite, Beulah, Leona, Iris, Kathleen, Everett and
Earnie! She is the last surviving member of her immediate
family.
The family wish to thank the doctors and staff of
4C for their excellent care of Emma.
A celebration of life and burial will take place
at a later date at the Dover Baptist Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral
Home & Crematorium (372-4800).
If desired, memorials to the Canadian AIDS Society
or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the
family.
