2016
It is with great sadness the family
wishes to announce the passing of Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty”
Scott, wife of Haines Scott, formerly of Big River, which occurred at
the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst on Wednesday, November 30,
2016, at the age of 74.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter
of the late Jarvis and Mary Ann (Sargent)
Black.
Besides her husband, she is survived by
One son, Shane Branch (Colleen) of
Lethbridge, AB.
One daughter, Cindy Pickard (Joel) of
Bathurst,
One step-son, Prentice Scott (Jennifer)
of Windsor, ON,
One step-daughter, April (Todd) Scott
of Sarnia, ON.
Grandchildren: Jordan, Jenna,
Kyle, Stephen, Dylon, Amanda, Ethan, Erik and
Emily.
She was predeceased by her brother
Basil in 2004.
Betty was an involved member of her
community. She spent her time volunteering with the First
United Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Herman J. Good V.C. Br
18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. Betty enjoyed to
travel, go camping, bowling and attend Titan hockey
games.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and
7-9 pm Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Elhatton Funeral Home
(www.elhatton.com), St. George St., Bathurst. Funeral
service will be held at 2 pm Sunday from the First United Church, St.
Patrick St. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the
West Bathurst Cemetery Endowment Fund or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
