Life Story for Dorothy Rive (O’Riley)
RIVE, Dorothy J. – Dorothy passed away December 28th, 2017 at Chartwell/Chateau Gardens, age 83. Devoted wife to the late Gerald Rive. Loving mother to Bonnie Lavell (Jim), Butch (Teresa), Ken (Judy), and Dan (Kathy). Proud grandmother and GG to 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dottie was a much loved member of the extended Rive and Linington families. Mum valued family above all. She was our wise and loving counsel, our champion, the heartbeat of our family. She will be missed. Sincere thanks to all the 3rd floor staff at Chateau Gardens for their kindness and care of our mother. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Tuesday January 2nd from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday January 3rd from 11 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 12 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
