Peters, Doreen (nee Phillips)
Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Saturday, December 30th, 2017at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Everett (Chuck) Peters 1981. Dear mother of Susan Nicholson (John), Sharon Fillier (Bill), Nicki Henderson (Bill) and Steve (Nadia). Cherished grandmother of Kevin, Terry, Rob, Stacey (Tony), Wayne (Cheryl), Christopher, Madison (Rosebud), Abigail. Great-grandmother of TJ, Kalen, Cameron, Joey, Nickolas, Brody, and Bryston. Remembered by her sister Audrey Abercrombie and her brother Ken (Carol). Predeceased by her sister Jacqueline and Ronnie. Doreen will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Celebration of Doreen’s Life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Headwaters Health Care (Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Doreen in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
