On December 24, 2017 at the Health Sciences Center, Donnyboy passed away at the age of 66 years.
He is survived by his 3 sisters Nellie(John) Morrisseau, Rosalie Desjarlais, and Barbara(Leo) Shoomski as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lydia and Stanley; brothers Huebert, Norman and Fred; brother-in-law Norval Desjarlais; sister-in-law Audrey Sinclair as well as 5 siblings in infancy.
Donnyboy was a hardworking man, working all over Canada throughout his life. He worked for 20 years working in the oil fields of Alberta before moving back to Manitoba 3 years ago. Donnyboy loved to round dance and laugh. He was very good at keeping in touch with his family, always speaking well of everybody. He also maintained his original language which was cree. He had many friends and will be missed by all.
Wake will be held on Friday, December 29 at 8:00 p.m. in the Misipawistik Cree Nation Hall. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. James Anglican Church.
