Adams, Donald “Donnie” Robert – 75, of Shag Harbour, passed away in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on December 25, 2017. Born November 23, 1942, in Shag Harbour, he was the oldest son of the late Bowmen and Doris (Goodwin) Adams. In his early days he started out as a fisherman and moved on to start Adams Fisheries Ltd and at present time Oceans Alive Seafoods Ltd. Donnie was a very well-known and liked man and was always seen driving around in his cube van or talking on his phone. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn Flora (Ross); his children, David (Joyce) and Lori (Mike) Stewart; granddaughters, Kailey (Zachary) and Merissa; brothers, Paul (Jean) and Bruce (Vesta); several nieces and nephews. Donnie was predeceased by his sister, Joan.Cremation has taken place under the direction of the H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. As per Donnie’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or memorial service. A graveside service will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. Memorial donations may be made to the Old Farm Cemetery, Shag Harbour.
