The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Thursday, November 9, 2017 with family by her side, at the age of 68 years.
Loving wife, best friend and life partner to Maurice. December 26 of this year marks a special day for Diane and Maurice as they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Devoted mother of Kim, Kelly Fletcher (Jeff) and Karen Stirpe (Frank). Proud Gram to Kelsey DelGuidice (Daniel Dupéré), Jennafer Fletcher, Oceanna and Skylee Stirpe and her first great-granddaughter Ellie Dupéré.
Predeceased by her parents Gerald and Donna Gagnon and by her parents-in-law Laurier and Angele Pichette. Adored big sister to Miki Gagnon (Rayny), Susan Foley (Harry) and Jerry Gagnon (Carol).
Cherished Auntie Diane to many nieces, nephews and loved by countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Diane braved a difficult illness for many years. To those who knew her, admired her courageous strength. In her passing, Diane leaves behind her legacy of kindness, compassion and dedication to family.
A special thank you to Dr. Louisa Marion-Bellemare, Marnie Chisholm, Chrystal from Bayshore and Lise Charbonneau as well as her two extra special angels who selflessly helped care for her; her daughter Kelly and sister Susan.
A memorial service will be held at 12 pm (noon) on Tuesday November 14, 2017 in the Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 14th from 10 am to 12 pm at LESSARD-STEPHENS

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations to Sick Kids Foundation would be greatly appreciated in Diane’s Memory and for her love of children.
