Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on November 17, 2017 at 78 years of age. Beloved husband of Judy (nee Kitton) for 46 years. Cherished father of Krysten (Chad) Lawton and Linda Mattatall. Proud Grandpa of Kaden and Brody Lawton. Dear step-father of Tracie Garinger, Helen-Jean (Pete) VandeBovenkamp and step-grandpa of Max Garinger, Walker, Sander VandeBovenkamp. Reunited with his parents George and Jessie Mattatall and brothers Frank and Lawson. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and dear friends. David served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged and retired from Ford Canada after 32 years of service. If you so desire, donations to The Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Cremation services were held and a private family service has taken place.
