David Sebastian

David Allan Sebastian, 67 of Listowel, Ontario has played his final round.
David lost his battle to cancer on Thursday, December 29th, 2016 surrounded by his family and their love for him.
In life Dave enjoyed a long career in banking and had just recently retired for the second time from Bridgewater Bank as a business development manager. He was well regarded in his career and had worked hard for that recognition, teaching his children that the love of what you do is important.
For fun, Dave enjoyed playing a round or two of golf with his usual foursome, his brothers or his sons in law. In the colder months when the golf course was closed, you could find Dave in the pool halls playing his favourite winter sport and coaching his team. This past year, his team made it to the finals an achievement he was very proud of.
Dave was the loving partner of Lynn Armstrong and the proud father of Michael Sebastian of Listowel, Michelle and Michael Colvin of London, Erin and Rob Smith of London, and Leah and Jeff Van Nynatten of Mitchell. Dave was also the step father of Cheryl and Patrick Laffin and Scott and Kaitlyn Armstrong, all of Brussels.
Although he loved golf and pool as past times, nothing could beat the joy of being an involved grandfather to Sophia and Nathan Colvin, Elaine and Samantha Smith, Jase and Blake Van Nynatten and step-grandfather to Brooke, Jordyn and Lincoln Laffin and Brynlee Armstrong. These kids were truly his passion in life!
Dave will be missed by his sisters and brothers, his partners in crime. Ron Sebastian of Florida, Brian Sebastian of Kitchener, Jim and Gloria Sebastian of Listowel, Stan Sebastian of Kitchener, Peter Sebastian of Kitchener, Patricia and Don King of Kitchener and Elizabeth Mohr of Waterloo.
Dave will be fondly remembered by Mary Sebastian of Waterloo and by his many nieces and nephews.
Dave is predeceased by his brothers Michael and Paul Sebastian, sisters-in-law Molly Sebastian and Elizabeth Lawrence, brother-in-law Ralph Mohr, his niece Angelia Sebastian and by his parents Kasimir Sebastian and Selina Lusby.
Friends may call at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Tuesday January 3rd from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4th at 11:00 a.m. Kevin Nethercott officiating.
Donations in memory of Dave can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the MS Society of Canada.
