David Robert Hubbert – 2017

Hubbert, David Robert
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Robert Hubbert, peacefully at the age of 75, on Friday, December 23, 2016.
Born on February 18th, 1941, in Brantford, Ontario, the fourth child of Francis and Catherine Hubbert, and brother to the late Mary, the late Richard, and Patrick. He was a noted athlete, inducted into the Brantford and Area Sports Hall of Recognition as a member of the championship 1963 Atlas All-Stars basketball team.
He has joined his beloved wife Gloria, whom he married in Brantford on October 13th, 1964, and who passed on April 13th, 2013.
Dave had a long and productive career as a teacher, principal, superintendent, and Director of Education, having contributed to the development of thousands of lives. None more than those of his four children, Suzanne (husband Mark), Joel, Shannon, and Lance (wife Kate), by whom he is survived. He was a loving “Poppa” to Pippa, Holly, Alexa, Rowan, Cael, Sydney and Liam.
He will be remembered by all those for whom he was a leader, a mentor, a teacher, and an example. Dave was active in the community, serving on local boards and was also an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, golfer, and woodworker, and a good friend.
