Obituary for Daisy Irene Martyn
Daisy Irene Martyn: June 7th 1923 – December 28th 2017 – Passed away peacefully at her residence – Extendicare Brampton, Ontario, Canada on December 28th 2017 at the age of 94. Dearly beloved wife of late Francis Martyn, cherished mother of Anselm (New Zealand), Marie Dhayalini Johnpulle (Canada), Judith Malini Seevaratnam (Canada), and Lalith (New Zealand). Mother-in-law of Vino, Kiruba, David and Tami. Predeceased by her sisters and brother. Loving Nanna to her grandchildren and their spouses: Jovinsha & Mathew, late Anshan, Maryse (Niluka) & Jude, Dilano, Loretta (Manoja) & Jag, Dave (Mahen), Tanushk and Tiahli. Treasured Great Nanna to Austin, Louis, Arlo, Gabriel, Christian, Nikita, Sophia, Samuel & Daniel. Affectionately remembered by her nephews, nieces & their spouses.
With a passion for cooking and concern for others, Daisy Irene Martyn enjoyed taking care of her family, ensuring all her loved ones were well fed and supported. In her later life, she began traveling and living with her children in various countries, moving to Canada in 1989. She will be fondly remembered for her hospitable nature and devout spirituality.
Friends and family are welcome to pay final respects at Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main St. South, Brampton on Friday January 5th 2018 from 2-4 pm or 6-9 pm located at 52 Main St S., Brampton. Funeral mass will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday January 6th 2018 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church 66 Main St S, Brampton, ON., followed by burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery 6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga, ON ., with a luncheon to follow at Ward Funeral Home, “Woodbridge Chapel”, 4671 York Regional Rd 7, Woodbridge, ON.
