It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of out beloved Wife, Mother, Nana, Great-Nana, Sister and Cherished friend, Clara Josephine Baker (nee White) on December 25, 2017. Clara is survived by her loving Husband of 54 years, John David MacIntosh Baker, Children; Howard (Anice) , Darrell (Gail), Paul (Penny), Dawn (Jerry), Cindy (Kevin) and John Jr. (Pauline). Grand Children; Kristina,Nikki Holly, Robyn (Cliff) Christina (Jeff) , Ian (Julie) Cory (Katie) Christopher, Madeline, and Elizabeth. Great Grand Children; Cheyenne, Logan, Gracie, Genevieve, Darrien, Arrihannah, Michael, Allison. Loving Sister to Carl White (Carol) and Nancy Hartling (Robert) and beloved Sister in law to Peter Baker (Hyacinth), and Cherished friend of Sue , Maggie, and Audrey, and will be missed by many Nieces and Nephews. Clara is predeceased by her Parents Arthur George and Helena Margaret White (nee”O’ Connor) In laws John David Baker and Marie Andrews (nee MacIntosh). Son Gary and Grandson Randall. Clara was born on April 8 1936 in Halifax, NS. She wed the love of her life on Sept. 5, 1964 at St James United Church, Dartmouth, NS. Even though John and Clara moved to Ontario with their children in 1970, her heart was always in Halifax with her family. In 1979 John and Clara returned to Dartmouth, were they resided until her Death. Clara’s life was always all about her Family and she cherished each and every Member. She was always a source of strength and perserverance no matter what obstacles life presented her. Her greatest love was for her Children, grand children and great grand children, She will be greatly missed by all who have known her and loved her. Goodbye Mom, Shine your Light on us everyday and Know you are loved by each and everyone who’s heart you have touched. Our Family wish to especially express our appreciation for the compassionate, considerate care given to Clara by all the Staff at the Vetrens Memorial Hospital, Restorative Care Centre…. Thank you
