Obituary for Carolyn Elsie McLean (MacDonald)
McLean, Carolyn Elsie, 72, Debert, passed away peacefully November 4, 2017 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Gladys (Harrie) MacDonald. Carolyn enjoyed genealogy, crosswords and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her second husband, Stephen McLean; daughter, Wanda (Shane) Slack; son, Darrell (Holly) Rector, both of Debert; grandchildren, Chris (Dalce) Slack, Kyle (Dawn) Slack; Brandon (Olivia) Slack; great-grandchildren, Carrie and Erica Slack; sister, Alice Ryan; brother, Wayne MacDonald; brother-in-law, Ross (Meredith) Rector; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Phyllis McLean and extended family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald Rector. Cremation has taken place. A private family committal will take place at a later date. Donations in Carolyn’s memory may be made to the Christian Fellowship Centre, 1533 Plains Road, Debert, N.S.
