the late Lester W. and Gertrude (Dodd) Trites.
He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Seamus) Dooley and
Marilyn (Scott) Steeves, all of Moncton, and
grandchildren Colin and Claire Dooley & Sydney and Lauren
Steeves. He is also survived by brothers-in-law Harold Atkinson of

nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving
wife, Joan (Atkinson) Trites (2007); sisters, Phyllis Phillips, Joan
Black and Jean Stone; brothers, Reg and Donald “Short” and
an infant brother and sister. He was the last surviving member of his
immediate family.

In his early years he played hockey with the Moncton Junior
Hawks, the Moncton Senior Hawks, the Moncton Flyers, Intermediate and
Industrial leagues (teams included: Memramcook Rovers, Amherst
Ramblers, Agnew Trucking, Capitols, Dunham & Frennette and the

We are grateful for his life, his love and the many fond
memories he leaves with us. He will be remembered by
everyone he touched for his pleasant, caring and outgoing
personality.
