Chester “Chettie” Nelson Cameron, 84, of Lower Mt. Thom, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 in Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche.
Born in Lower Mt. Thom, Chettie was a son of the late Chester and Jeanetta “Nettie” (Tattrie) Cameron.
A quiet man, with a nice smile, Chettie loved to tell stories and showed his love in many ways. In his early years he was a truck driver and later worked at the Salt Springs Provincial Park until his retirement.
Married for 47 years, he will be sadly missed by his wife Marcia (Worth); daughter Cathy Cameron, Kemptown; son Nelson (Sarah), Mt. Thom; grandchildren, Tracy, Derek and Joshua; sister Loudell Stedman (Tony); brothers, Alvin (Glenda), Keith (Linda), Blair (Edie); sister in law Eleanor Cameron; and brother in law Allister Silver.
He was predeceased by his sister Ruth Silver and brother Wesley Cameron.
His family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no funeral service.
