Brian Joseph (Joe) Sherwood – 1950-2017

Brian Joseph (Joe) Sherwood
1950-2017
It is with sadness that family and friends announce
Joe’s passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April
10, 2017. Joe was born September 11, 1950 to the late Mary
(Isaacs) and Ronald Sherwood of Saint John, NB. He is
survived by cousins, John (Barb) Sherwood and family of Hampton, David
(Denise) Isaacs of Quispamsis and several other cousins in the
surrounding area and across Canada. Also, he is survived by special
friends, David Black, Gloria Cobham and his Independence Plus
family.
For the past several years, Joe’s home was with
Independence Plus Incorporated and the family thanks the staff for the
great care and attention that Joe received. He was an avid
bowler and enjoyed working on the Handi-bus. Summer was one of
Joe’s favourite times as the residents and staff went on
road trips and always had supper at Ossie’s.
The family thanks the staff of 3DS and 3BN (Palliative Care)
for the tender, loving care that Joe received while a patient in the
Saint John Regional Hospital. It is very much
appreciated.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, April 17,
2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, 21 Canon Street, Saint John on
Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. A private family
interment will take place following the Mass.
In Joe’s memory, donations may be made to
Independence Plus Incorporated.
