A warm and gentle soul died on November 25, 2017. Betty (Sanderson) Taylor, age 93 lived all of her life in Stratford. She spent her youth dancing at the Blue Moon, bike riding, swimming in the Avon and enjoyed the simple pleasures of small town life. After the war she married our dad Ernie Taylor (deceased 1995) and devoted her life to being “the best mom ever” to her 8 children; Karen Gastmeier (Bill), Lynda Rankin (Dave), Barb Hills (Martin), Brian Taylor (Inge), Ellen Mathie (Jim), Ruth Sickinger (Wolf), Ross Taylor (Geri), April Taylor (Edward) and family friend Philip Yielding. Betty is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday, November 28, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery following the reception at the funeral home.
