PAGNAN, Antonio (Tony) Joseph—
Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Tony—husband, dad, nonno, bisnonno, uncle, brother, brother-in-law, friend and “private chauffer” was cherished and love by those to whom he meant the most.
He was born in Dominion, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, on January 7, 1931 to immigrant Italian parents. Tony is now reunited with the love of his life, Sheila, who passed away on January 2, 2013. He was the beloved father of Lori Pagnan (Fred Thoonen), Carin (Robert Brown), Tony (Cecilia) Pagnan and Terry (Julia) Pagnan. Tony was the amazing nonno of Melissa (John), Eric, Matthew, Alex, Nigel and Noah. He was the proud and loving bisnonno of Kaydence, Mia, Aria and Veronica. Tony was the dearly loved brother of Bruna Cavasin, Anita Fraser and Landa Burke and the loved brother-in-law of Joan and Gene Fraser and Marilyn and George McIsaac. Tony was the special uncle of Kathy. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbours. Tony was a long-standing member of the Italian Canadian Club of Guelph, as well as a member of IBEW, Local Union 804.
A private family service and cremation have taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or to the Friends of the Guelph Public Library would be appreciated by the family.
