Alyre Cormier of Memramcook passed away at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont on Thursday December 14, 2017 at the age of 87. Born on February 26, 1930, in Memramcook, he was the son of the late Honore and Domethilde (Cormier) Cormier. He was a bulldozer operator until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his three daughters, Therese (Rene) Richard of Memramcook, Annette (Gilles) Melanson of Dieppe and Jeannine (late Jean-Guy) Dupuis of Memramcook, three sons, Yvon (Lise) of Memramcook, Normand (Kim) of Salisbury and Robert of Memramcook, five grandchildren, Stephanie, Melanie, Yvonne, Devin and Ryan, five great grandchildren, Griffin, Aaron, Verena, Zachary and Emeryn, two sisters, Louise (late Herve) LeBlanc of Memramcook and Lina (Roger) Gagnon of Dieppe, one brother, Alfred (Aurise) of Dieppe and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ida (June 2017), four sisters, Marguerite, Doris, Maria and Leona and two brothers, Arthur and Eugene.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Sunday December 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Interment will be held in the Saint Thomas de Memramcook parish cemetery.
