Obituary of Albert May
MAY: Albert William –
A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Ridgetown, Albert May passed away at the Meadow Park Nursing Home on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the age of 93.
Born in Welland, Albert was the son of the late James and Annie (Dabald) May.
Beloved husband of the late Lillian (nee Burnham) for 57 years.
Loving father of Rick May of Chatham, Doug May of Chatham and Lynda Leno (John) of Westlock, AB.
Grandfather to Pam and Lisa May.
Predeceased by his sister Jean Warwick and brother George May.
Albert worked for many years at KSR until his retirement. He enjoyed playing steel guitar with the country western band Melody Aces on the weekends. Albert liked to entertain at family reunion functions as well. He also enjoyed taking the family up to the Sarnia Bluewater Area to relax along the waterfront. Albert was also a veteran of World War II, having served on a mine sweeper, the HMCS Vegreville J257.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 10:00am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Fahrner officiating.
Donations made in memory of Albert to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
