In Loving Memory Of
Adam Maile
Adam Jake Maile, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 92 years.
Adam was born on April 7, 1925, in Beiseker, AB, to William and Helena Maile. Adam moved with his family to the Grande Prairie area in 1927 where he attended the Twilight School.
Over the years, Adam had various jobs including helping his father on a fishing boat near New Westminster, BC and operating the sawmill chipper for Canfor in Grande Prairie until he retired. Adam often volunteered to help his family and friends on their farms.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters Lenora Jobson and Eileen Goodvin, brother Bill Maile, plus many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by both his parents, brothers Fred and Art Maile, and sisters Matilda Graff, Lydia Massey and Olga Qually.
The family are planning a Memorial Service in Grande Prairie at a later date and his ashes will then be interred with his parents in New Westminster, BC.
The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Pope, the Staff at Heritage Lodge and the QEII Staff on 5 North. Each of you contributed to enriching Adam’s life. Thank you.
If anyone wishes, memorial donations may be made to the Heritage Lodge (c/o Grande Spirit Foundation 9505 102 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 7G9) or to the charity of one’s choice.
