Passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Abel is survived by his wife Marguerite (nee Therrien), in their 63rd year of marriage, he was 96 years old. Loving father of Glen (Corinne). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ashley, Andrew and Gavin. Abel was predeceased by his son Larry Ranger in 1955, by his parents Zephir and Alice (nee Marcotte) Ranger and by his siblings Raoul, Jules, Claraine Rockburn, Luc, Lucien, Guy, Albert & Andre Ranger and Conrad Belanger. Dearly loved brother of Colombe Burritt and Maria Rochon. He was a second father to Alice Gravelle, Joffre Ranger, Jean-Guy Ranger, Monique Bangs and David Ranger. A Memorial Service in the presence of Cremated Remains will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 25th, at 11:00 am. Spring interment of ashes in the family plot at St. Anne’s Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Mattawa Nursing Home or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
