Margaret Rose Zobel died peacefully on November 25, 2024 of multiple cancers.
Margie (Margaret/ Marg/ affectionately known by most as “Granny”) was born in Little Paradise, Newfoundland in 1939. She moved to Toronto where she met and married Gunter, her husband of 28 years (died 1996).
Margaret was predeceased by her siblings Gordon, Violet, Kevin and Doreen and is survived by her youngest sister Bernadette, as well as countless nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by her two loving daughters Cathy (Steve) and Veronica (Emir) and her four grandsons Jake, Michael, Nathan and Nicholas.
Her sense of humour and incredible fortitude remained even during her last days at Dorothy Ley hospice.
Cremation has taken place with a Catholic mass and reception held on December 30. Her remains will be interned at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
Donations made to Dorothy Ley hospice, in her honour, are appreciated.
