1933 – 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Dzidzia, who blessed us with a lifetime of love, wisdom, and unforgettable memories. She lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with joy and strength. Her greatest pride was her family – her husband of 54 years, Jerzy (predeceased); her children, Bogusia (the late Leon), Asia (Waldek), and Rysiu (Basia); her grandchildren, Tomek, Agnieszka, Monika, Michal, Kasia, Bartosz, Marcin, Angelika, and Kamila; and her 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
A masterful cook, her kitchen was always infused with the comforting aromas of her traditional Polish dishes, bringing warmth and happiness to all who gathered around her table. She had a deep love for Polish music, and the melodies that reflected her rich heritage could often be heard in her home. Her faith, wisdom, kindness, and humour were gifts she shared freely, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew her.
Though we will deeply miss her presence, her spirit will live on in our hearts and in the generations she so lovingly nurtured. We will forever treasure her memory and honour her legacy of love and family.
Rest in peace, Dzidzia. You will be forever loved and remembered. May your light continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved you.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Polish Catholic Church, 419 Hill Street, London on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., preceded by a Rosary Prayer at 9:30 a.m. Zdzislawa’s ashes will be laid to rest in her homeland, Poland, where she will be reunited with her husband and other loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Zdzislawa may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
