It is with great sadness the family of Wilson Cluett, Frenchman’s Cove, NL age 84 years announce his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre with his loving family by his side on Sunday April 6, 2025.
Wilson was a man known by many; if you had the pleasure of knowing him I am sure he left an impact on your life.
He married the love of his life November 28, 1969 and together they raised 4 wonderful children 3 boys and 1 girl. Wilson held many job titles over the years, number one being Dad, a fisherman, a school bus driver and being Fraser’s right hand man at Cluett’s Construction where he worked until he retired at the age of 74. He dearly loved every minute he spent at the Pit.
After retirement along with his wife they enjoyed going to Alberta and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved him dearly. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Leaving to mourn with precious memories his beloved wife Madonna Cluett of 55 years, sons Tony (Georgina) Fort McMurray, AB, Tim (Heather) Brooks AB, Travis (Clara) Fort McMurray; daughter Julie Fort McMurray; grandchildren Alisha (Jonathan), Jennifer (Lonny), Dylan (Tierra), Timothy, Tyler, Jersey, Lauren, Will; great grandchildren Taylor, Jessie, Riley, Rowen, Teagan, Jayden, Brooklynn & Jaxon; sisters Lucy Bambury, Rosella Barrie, Florena (Winston) Marshall, Agnes (Winston) Pitcher; brothers Frazer (Florence) Cluett & Harvey (Donna) Cluett; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Harris & Dorothy Cluett, and the Drake family plus a large circle of other family and friends.
Predeceased by parents Wilbert & Julia Cluett, parents-in-law Patrick & Ida Drake, brother Clyde & Rueben, baby sister Hester Jane, brothers-in-law Lewis Barrie & Roland Bambury.
Visitation will only be for family from Salvation Army Citadel, Garnish on Monday April 7, 2025 from 7-9PM
Family will be accepting friends at Salvation Army Citadel, Garnish on Tuesday April 8, 2025 and Wednesday April 9, 2025from 2-4PM & 7-9PM.
Funeral service will take place from Salvation Army Citadel, Garnish on Thursday April 10, 2025 at 2:30PM with interment following at Salvation Army Cemetery Garnish officiated by Major Ross & Doreen Grandy.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Garnish.
