It is with deep sadness the family of Willis Peddle announce that our Dad and Grandfather, age 84, of Hodges Cove, passed away on March 21, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He is leaving to mourn his two kids, Kathy Stringer (Don) and Brad Peddle (Angie); four grandkids he cherished, Eric, Mikayla, Haley, and Jordyn; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and beloved cat Bicky.
Willis was preceded by his parents, Norman and Lillian Peddle; his wife, Effie; his Sister, Marion Smith; and his brother, Harvey Peddle. His three sisters survive him.
Thank you to all the doctors and nurses (Chole, we will never forget your kindness) at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital and all the visitors over these last few weeks—his nephew Rob, who often tucked him in at night or helped with breakfast in the mornings—to all his homecare workers over the years thank you, we appreciate all you did—and special thanks to Carson Drover for all you did for Dad.
Cremation will take place, with an inurnment to follow at a later date.
