Vanos, William “Bill”
It is with heavy hearts the family of William “Bill” Vanos announces his sudden passing on May 12, 2025 at the age of 71. Cherished husband of Wendy Vanos (nee Goldhawk) for 29 wonderful years. Loving father of Andrew Vanos (Sabrina Voakes). Adoring step-father of Colleen (Joe), Bill (Jenn), Shawn (Angela) and Aaron (Diana). Proud opa and grandpa of Josh, Connor, Chloe, Reid, Liam, Espen, Seth, Bridgette and Colin. Great grandpa of Brooklyn and Makayla. Brother of John (Jan), late Jim (Mary Anne), Ron (Jean), Mary-Anne (Dave) and Marty (Teri). Bill will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Bill was a jack of all trades. A farmer, fabricator, wood worker, and handy man of the highest order. Bill was a man that was happiest in the shop tinkering and inventing but would be there to help anyone at any time. A man with a generous soul he instilled patience and hard work for everyone he met and will leave a gigantic hole in the lives of everyone that knew him. Bill was a man that put his family above everyone, and he will be missed by them most.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, May 25th, 2025 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Warwick Fire Hall and Community Centre (7074 Egremont Rd, Watford, ON N0M 2S0).
