William Anstee Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the Family announce the passing of William “Bill” Anstee, Son, Brother and Friend.
Bill passed away peacefully at the Edson Hospital on Friday, October 18th,2024, at the age of 74, after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his mother, Maria Roth, brother Chris (Barb) Roth of Spruce Grove, and Aunt Patricia Polanski of Okotoks—as well as many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
He was predeceased by his sister Connie in 1981, brother Cary in 1997, brother Miles in 2002, grandmother Tillie in 2004, and stepfather Rodney in 2010.
Bill was a long-time resident of the Edson Area who was known and loved by all. Everyone was welcome at his home and there was a special place in his heart for his closest friends, especially Vern, Bob and Robert.
After living in Jasper for a short time, Bill moved back to Edson and lived on the small family farm for the remainder of his life.
He was an avid horseman and spent many years showing his prized horse “Banner”. In later years he raised many Arabians.
Bill loved all animals in addition to his beloved horses, he always had cats and dogs. Anyone wishing to do so can donate to Edson Animal Rescue Society “E.A.R.S.”, or Edson Food Bank.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Glenwood Cemetery in Edson, AB, on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
