March 12, 1952 – January 10, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William (Bill/Willy) Côté at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice January 10, 2025 after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Diagnosed in August 2020, he faced each day with an easygoing demeanor right to the end.
Beloved husband of 50 years to Margaret Ann Foran and loving father to Adam (Val).
Predeceased by his parents Pierre Côté and Gladys Proulx and siblings Annette (late Jean-Guy), Henri, and Jeanne. Bill is survived by brothers Gerard (Bonnie), Emile (Kathy), Jean-Paul (Carmel), Roger, André (Sharon), Raymond (Irais) and Michel (Karen), as well as sisters Helen (late Claude), Irene (André) and Fern (late Greg). He is also survived by brothers-in law Donald Foran (Becky) and Pat Foran (Diane) as well as his sister-in-law Margo Kilroy (late David Foran).
Bill will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, as well as friends from the music and golf community.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the many friends who dropped by during the last few days to offer their support to Bill and family. Your friendship has meant so much to him throughout the years. The family is particularly grateful to Dr. Tara Jennings and the staff and volunteers at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice, who treated Bill with care and dignity.
Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Quyon, Quebec on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. Burial in the Spring in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held in Gavan’s Hotel following the Mass.
