BORN, Wilhelmus “William” Maria Joannes – surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, March 28th, 2025 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Virginia Born (nee Mels) of Simcoe. Loving father & grandfather of Debbie Allender (Brad) of Simcoe; Jackie Baskett of Simcoe, her children Alexandra, Bridget (Rob Kumar), Charlotte (Jake Mannen), Amie & Brooke; and Carolynn Beam (Dick) of Simcoe, their son Logan. Dearly remembered by his sisters Josie Clawsie (late Jack) of Brantford and Ann Morris (late Gerald) of Norwich. Sadly missed by his long time best friend Howard Garvey of Hagersville. Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents the late Wilhelmus (1973) & Geradina (1982) Born. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bill with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Sunday, March 30th, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon John Doomernik officiating. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Bill are asked to consider the Diabetes Association, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Campfire Circle – Rainbow Lake.
